As I focused on this short story, I realized there were quite a couple of lessons which could be drawn from this woman’s encounter with Jesus. I couldn’t help but be stunned by her act of faith, strength and perseverance.
Yes, she had suffered severe bleeding for 12 years, spent all she had on treatments but her condition only got worse. She was said to be unclean and therefore isolated from society. (Leviticus 15:25-27 Read)
When she HEARD about Jesus, she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” She was weak, she couldn’t walk and yet with the little strength she had, she crawled, she persevered as she knew what she needed and from what she HEARD about Jesus she believed…
It may be that all you have at this point is just a little strength but PRESS ON…keep on keeping on. No matter what the cost may be, strive to gain new heights. Don’t stay in one place. Be passionate about your future❤️
